Australian Shepherd- "Aussie"
Here in Norway the breed is pretty new, the first aussie was imported from
England in 1994.
Today we have around 500 dogs.
Most people thinks of the aussie as an active working dog, with striking looks,
but unfortually several breeders are starting to breed for dogs with no working
instinct left at all. They want the aussie to be a calm, very friendly with no
guardian instinct, that can fit into every family with no problems.
Loooking at the breed standar that is totally wrong !!
The aussie is a working dog, that can be used for all dog sports. It is not a
dog that should spend their day on the coach!
